career path

have so many thoughts recently.

didnt go school today. brought my daughter for a jab. MMR. she was running all around at the waiting area. so cute. yet, making me so tired having to chase after her. haha. she's my darling. one pretty gem stone.

in hope to bring her a better life, together with my dear hubby, i've decided not to go australia for the one year degreee course. i cant bring myself to be separated from my family. I've decided to study in PSB academy for my degree course. and yet, i wanted so much to go to KTPH to work. but after so long, after all the thinking about which department to go and work, i keep hesistating. finally, today while studying in the library, and some thoughts of my future, i knew what i wanted to do already!

i keep asking myself, y did i come to blt in the first place? is it really because of my pregnancy at that point of time? or is it that i'm really interested in the course? i agree that this BLT course is intensive, but it has really make me grown up. it has really make me think hard about my future. i guess if i'm still in BMS, i would be like: "so what's next after diploma?" though my results weren't very good, but i dont agree with what jacq said during class the other time. she said that if she would be staying in BMS, den her results might be better. i guess, my results are not fanstastic, but i'll work harder. i have no choice. afterall, i did get pregnant in year2. but that isnt going to stop be for getting good grades in year 3. i'm working harder. afterall, all of us work so hard is just for the future. everyone wants to get more promotion and earn more money for themselves.

Microbiology - not what i'm really into.
haematology - too machinary. dont like.
blood bank - seems too stressful. i keep doing wrong things at wrong time. susppose to do Rh control for AB bld grp. i did weak D instead. for 2 consecutive years! laugh. yes i know. i'm stupid. not cut out for blood bank, though interesting
cytogenetics - i love it. but only SGH and NUH have this department. too far away from my home. though i love working with dr leena and her team. it's so nice!
phlebotomy - i guess i'm not going to risk myself for self-prick. i might get panicky.
basic cardiac life-support - how is this going to be a job?
Molecular Diagnostic - i love it. though cross-contamination and inhibition is a major issue.
Special Chemistry - fun! but too machinary as well.
Chemistry - BORING.
lab managment - ms ong says it based on ability. dont know if i have the ability yet.
forensic: too many of my classmates want to go there. i still even have to study overseas for this. and seeing dead bodies?! eh, not my kind of job.

FINAL DECISION:
MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTIC. the more i study this for exams, the more i love it. I'm trying to apply job for ktph now. but dont know they even have this laboratory there or not. if not, i guess i have no choice but to be stucked at NUH. either that, i need to check with ttsh have this laboratory or not. i'm getting more in love with DNAs.... muackx.

that's is my career path, after thinking so long.
